Update on the Covid-19 protocols at Victoria Vet Clinic, as of March 29

We have moved to a no face to face contact system for all food and supply pick-ups as well as appointments (some exceptions will be made i.e. End of life goodbyes). We understand that it can be stressful for you and your pet during this time and we will do everything possible to reduce this stress.

  • Call ahead for any food, prescriptions or supplies, for quicker service.
  • Payment over the phone is preferred. NO Cash accepted.
  • Our debit machine and door handles will be disinfected after each transaction.
  • Use the hand sanitizer on the shelf, prior to using the debit machine.

Call us from your vehicle when you arrive for appointments or pick ups, 306-522-8802

Pick ups for supplies

  • We will gather your order and meet you at the front door. Staff will place your item(s) in between the doors for you to retrieve. Please wait till our team member returns to the waiting area before coming in.

Appointments

Call us from your vehicle when you arrive, 306-522-8802

  • Pets will be dropped off at the front entrance, between the doors.
  • We will call you after the appointment to discuss treatment and payment.
  • Please wait in your vehicle.
    • Pets in kennels: When directed to do so, leave your pet inside the front entrance. A staff member will be waiting to retrieve your pet once you exit the front door. All kennels will be cleaned upon arrival.
    • Pets on leash: When directed to do so, bring your pet through the first door and a staff member will be waiting to retrieve your pet. Be sure the door is closed behind you.  ***Please keep as much distance between you and our staff member as possible.

Our staff will be gowned and gloved during pet exchanges.

  • We are limiting appointments. Only essential appointments and surgeries will be scheduled as well as required vaccine appointments. Please call to discuss vaccine appointments with our staff to determine urgency. If your pet is ill or showing pain please call for an appointment.
  • Telemedicine will be utilized with any appointments deemed possible. Charges will apply. Information will be taken when calling in and our veterinarian will determine if an exam or phone consult is required.
  • In order to create further social distancing in clinic, our staff will be working in 2 teams. Our teams will be alternating shifts, each group working 3 days on, 3 days off. Please be patient with us since we have fewer staff than normal.
  • Cleaning protocol: Any item touched during an appointment or transaction will be disinfected after use (i.e. Tables, door handles, light switches, stethoscopes, computer equipment, debit machine, etc,). A new gown will be used and gloves will be disinfected after handling each pet. During the day we will be consistently disinfecting items touched throughout the clinic.
  • Please call us with any questions.

Stay safe and healthy!
